Every transformative journey begins long before you arrive. We’ve gathered the trusted tools and resources we share with our own travelers, so you can prepare with confidence, travel with peace of mind, and be fully present the moment you step off the plane.
Before any international trip, we recommend checking the U.S. Department of State’s interactive Travel Advisory Map. It shows real-time safety levels, entry restrictions, and local alerts for every destination color-coded and easy to read at a glance. We review this with every client before departure.
STEP is a free service from the U.S. Department of State that registers your trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once enrolled, you’ll receive destination-specific safety updates, and the Embassy can reach you and help you in the event of a natural disaster, civil unrest, or family emergency. It takes less than 5 minutes and we strongly recommend enrolling for every international trip.
Caring for your wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do and that includes arriving healthy. The World Health Organization provides up-to-date, country-by-country health information: recommended vaccinations, disease alerts, food and water safety, and more. We recommend consulting WHO and your personal physician at least 4-6 weeks before international travel.
Travel insurance is something we recommend for every single trip, not just the big ones. Most domestic health plans provide little to no coverage abroad, and a single medical evacuation can cost upward of $50,000. Faye is our trusted travel insurance partner: a modern, whole-trip plan that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, baggage, and more, managed entirely through their app with 24/7 real human support.
